Decorative Painting

My decorative painting can be found in homes, wineries and restaurants throughout the Bay Area.

I love the difference a decorative finish can make in the look of a space! You can go into a place and see walls, ceilings, floors, fireplaces and furniture, and transform them. They’re all blank canvasses.

I like to work with all kinds of products—paints, stencils, waxes, venetian plasters. In one client’s house I painted a design in an elevator. Ordinarily you’d just be pressing the buttons, waiting for it to move (if you had the good fortune to live in a home with an elevator); there, you’re looking at art. In another house I did stencils on a scarily high wall. At a winery, I painted an enormous dragon on the dance floor of the event center. In my own house, you’ll find a hallway with a silver leaf nook, a white, venetian-plastered wall smooth as glass, and a subtle wax stencil that reveals itself as you move through the space.
